Chuck and James, named after brothers (James, Mr. Kappel's lategrandfather), has become the timeless link between the eating habits of a rural family at the turn of the 20th century and a sophisticated food product which for many folks brings to the present time a renewed interest in granola.

Churn Creek Ltd., began wholesale marketing of its granola in May, 2001, with three flavors: walnut raisin, almond cranberry and pistahio cherry. The company's fourth flavor, pecan blueberry, rode into town (was introduced) on December 10, 2001. Rustled and tethered, almost ready for market, the to-be popular plain flavor will attract those who have allergies to nuts and also the granola lovers who like to concoct their own mix, with each flavor being unique in its own right.
